University of Maryland, College Park Policy on Classification of Undergraduate Students

(APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT, UPDATED JUNE 2001, EFFECTIVE JUNE 2002)

Undergraduate Students at UMCP are classified according to the number of credits earned as follows:

0-29 credit hours earnedFreshman
30-59 credit hours earnedSophomore
60-89 credit hours earnedJunior
90 or more credit hours earnedSenior
